Prince George issued $11 million in building permits in February 2019 including 10 new multi-family dwellings.

The numbers show the city issues 32 permits valuing $11,293,089 in February 2019; that’s $4 million more than in February 2018, when the city issued 19 permits valuing $7,133,681.

The year-to-date so far for 2019 is already totalling nearly $16 million, coming in at $15,786,764.

“Great numbers,” said Mayor Lyn Hall, adding “We continue to see a tremendous amount of activity.”

Hall also commented on the amount of private sector investment which includes two new single-family dwellings, 10 new multi-family dwellings with a total of 44 units, 10 commercial alterations, and one new commercial building.

“It significant if you look at the breakdown of dollars invested in the private sector and that private sector equation and the percentage is really continuing.”
